Well, satisfaction is measured using qualitative research methods, not quantitative. However, loyalty is measured through quantitative means. The basic differance between the two forms of research is as the word implys.
Qualitative is research which focuses on the quality of something. For instance, a survey is used to test which soda tasts best but only five people are surveyed. This is qualitative since it reflects the quality of the product.
Quantitative focuses on the numbers. For example, three thousand people were surveyed within New York to reflect the entire population rather than the entire population.
So the best answer to your question would be to collect data on customers who have displayed the criteria to be considered loyal then poll those customers as to the importance of satisfaction in regards to they’re loyalty.

qualitative research has to do with the content of the data and not the amount of it. quantitative research has to do with the amount of the data, e.g. the numbers.
for example: quantitative research would involve surveying one thousand people in general terms, while quantitative would mean a few interviews where you focus on the data very closely.

I know I did combination of both – where the quantitative research are more countable, like survey with the Likert scale (1-5); and qualitative are more of open questions like the face-to-face interviews.
