Just offer them the card, WITH the leaflet in hand, and open the booklet. Talk through the different options, pointing with the tip of your pen, and state that there&#039;s no catch and that you own one yourself.
People are wisening up to the fact that they use your name and address to sell things to you, LOL
As for nerves, I promise they will pass. I was very nervous but by the end of my degree (I was a student working part time) I was bored. You will be OK!</description>

It could also be that they just don&#039;t visit your business that much to begin with to make it worthwhile.  It bothers me that companies push this stuff at the register. 		<description>I agree with Jennifer, the best you can do is ask in a friendly way. If you get too pushy about it, you very well may lose customers.
However, be sure to offer it to each customer, even if it gets repetitive and everyone keeps rejecting the idea. If you get a mystery shopper and you don&#039;t offer them a card, it will be a big &quot;negative&quot; on the mystery shopper&#039;s report.
Retail jobs are emotionally draining and customers don&#039;t keep this in mind. Pace yourself in your work and always smile no matter how you feel. Best wishes! You will learn awesome people skills from this job.</description>
